Wind-resistant awnings
The quality of Vega awnings you can touch with your hand
In any season, gusts of wind can test the durability of awnings. Choosing an awning with proven wind resistance is essential, especially in areas exposed to the elements.
Vega awnings, which have been CE-marked since 2006, embody this resilience.
Each Vega awning is tested to the rigorous standards of EN 1932, ensuring unrivalled resistance to different classes of wind.
Wind resistance classes: a clear picture
Vega awning are distinguished by their ability to withstand various wind strengths, depending on the tent model chosen, classified according to the Beaufort scale.
Class 1: Up to 28 km/h.
Class 2: Up to 38 km/h.
Class 3: up to 49 km/h.
Class 4: Up to 61 km/h.
You will find, in each product sheet in the dedicated section of the website, an icon indicating the resistance index.
For those who want maximum comfort but also safety, we offer motorised blinds equipped with wind sensors to prevent the blind from being exposed to strong gusts even when you are not around to close it manually.
The sensors are matched to all our motorised blinds and are specially calibrated according to the wind resistance class of the blind model in your possession.
In the event of strong gusts reaching the pre-set threshold, the sensor activates the motor that automatically closes the blind, preventing it from breaking and causing damage to property or people and animals nearby.
